1981 Ford Escort XR3 in dashing prairie yellow...
What is up for sale is just the rolling shell and the matching ID/logbook (they're all matching). She's got the correct twin bolt front shock caps and I've been told it was one of the earliest Xr3's produced (original had a four speed gearbox) - the V5 is in my name and for obvious rears there isn't any MOT/Tax. Last tax disc is displaying 2009 as being the last year she was on the road tearing up those streets in Bolton)
Below is a link to photo bucket where there is a few more indepth pictures of the beast.

Currently, she rolls about on a set of steelies that came off a focus and has a set of RS Turbo shocks and springs.
Interior wise, there isn't hardly any. What you will get is the front and rear door cards, a roof lining (torn in quite a few places by the previous owner), front carpet x2, boot carpet, three sets of boot side linings, various hoses (I'd imagine for the sunroof), parcel shelf, steering wheel and what ever else was left in there by the previous owner. The clocks have been removed and sold.
Engine wise - the engine/gearbox was sold hence there isn't one. The loom still exists along with the front radiator, subframe and steering and suspension components.
Body wise, she's seen better days - that being said, in her current state she's still quite rare and I've seen a lot worse being brought back to life. She's still got front/rear lights and indicators, both complete doors, bonnet, wings, boot, ALL glass, front bumper including caps (iirc the over riders are with the car too) and the rear bumper caps (bumper is missing). She’s in need of welding… Don't know the full extent of whats needed but a new battery tray was welded in and seam sealed by the previous owner and an OSR panel cut from another MK3 is included as a dodgy repair has been done in the past. Around the bottom of the window screen (passengers side) and around the sunroof defiantly needs attention where the sunroof is (it’s leaked in the past).
I bought her from Damo in Bolton (CSG) with intentions - as you can guess they never took off and due to university being my sole focus at the moment, she was put up for sale. Long story short, people were more interested in bits so I stripped her and sold the bits that people wanted - leaving me with just the shell. After a serious car accident I had earlier this year along with exams at university, I was ale to get her out of the garage and re-advertise her.
She's now currently taking up space which my dad wants so I've been given an ultimatum, sell the shell or he's going to weigh it in :0
Any more questions please ask.
I'm after SOLD
Delivery can be arranged (my dad has a dolly) but payment must be settled etc beforehand and viewing is highly recommended.
My location; I’m in East London, Ilford (IG3 area) to be exact.
Thanks,
H.
(Bearing in mind the cloverleafs, dash, rear bumper, interior, engine, gearbox, exhaust, etc are not with the car. I will get some updated photos ASAP)
This is what she used to look like in a previous life...
