sounds like the safest option. cant be asking people to get down in those conditions.. and (I'm local to brean) its f'ing freezing here and the beach will be sodding wet and cold and probs not the best place to be.
were still holding our local radio controlled drift meeting locally at burnham on sea 2-6pm so if your in the area and interested inbox me for more details.

It does seem a good idea. I wasn't looking forward to putting the new wheels on and letting the snow ruin them before I even cleaned the car.
Looking forward to the7th already!!!

OK, barring any major weather-related catastrophes, Sunday April 7th is a definite.
Because we've moved to a date after Easter, there are a couple of things to bear in mind:
1. There WILL be a local council Beach Warden on site. Anyone caught hooning will almost certainly face a visit from the Police.
2. The kiosk will be open at the beach entrance collecting parking charges. Unavoidable, given that the Summer Season is underway from April 1st. Last year it was £4 per car, but I've heard that it's either £4.50 or £5 this year.
I can't stress enough the importance of presenting a positive image for yourselves and your clubs with local council officials on site. The future of the Beach Party isn't in my hands. It's in yours. Don't let yourselves down.

I'm looking forward to this.
I wonder if I could get the new toy on the road in time for this as I don't even no for sure if I will get it before Thursday I think it may be pushing it so more than likely will be in the BMW. Oh well at least I can fit a set of bumpers in that.

Hi all. Any objections to me turning up in my 1998 nissan 200? I know it's not quite classed as retro yet but I'd love to have a nose around.

Due to circumstances i'll be in a 2001 Passat don't worry about it (I'll also be there in a '88 Fiesta all being well that i'm buying on the way there!)

What happened to this today? Went down to Brean and nothing happening. A couple of cars turned up and went again so I wasnt the only one looking for it. Turns out this wasn't actually on Brean beach but on another beach further towards Burnham. We also paid to get on Brean beach before finding the meet elsewhere. Nice selection of cars on show

Oh well, will know for next time. Didnt know there was another place that you can drive onto the beach nearer to Burnham. The brean beach is a little bit unfriendly for getting lowered cars into...

Ha ha yep, I bottomed out at the top of the slope and caught my splitter in the sand at the bottom.
Saw a couple of mk1 golf's while I was there also.

epic fail guys. drove for best part of 2 hours to get there, turned up on BREAN BEACH as thread says, NO cars there. went to brean adventure place, spent a tenner in the arcade, drove home my slammed lupo with hardly any clearance managed to get on brean sands so no excuses IMO. next time, people should stick to the location. might sound nasty, but god knows how many people turned up on the sands only to find a 'no show' quite disappointed, was looking forward to it.
