Tyres have turned up in the shape of Nankang NS2's in 185/55 flavour. They appear to have a little more side wall than a 195/50 and were slightly cheaper too. Should have them all bolted to the car on Saturday then I can't do some silly photoshopping of lows, until the coilovers turn up which should be in 2-3 weeks time. I ordered a Gaz GHA kit, but have specified stiffer springs in the rear, it seems most Cosworth owners prefer there cars to squat for grip where as I prefer it to be stiffer to aid traction loss (when required) ;D Good plan with the compression struts. Made a massive difference on my 24v. I went from not qualifying in the BDC, to qualifying 2nd after it was converted! Who you get the kit from? And the ARB kit? I just went for crazy spring rates on mine as I didn't care about comfort.... Would quite like to give my Cossie the same treatment. With camber and caster adjustment, I'm hoping the car will handle and drift really well. The Compression struts, Adjustable TCA's and Top mounts are all Compbrake items www.compbrake.com/The ARB kit came from Rally Design £95+vat. I went with the 10g tube. www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=7196The kit does require a fair bit of work to fit: 1. The brackets need to be welded to the chassis legs 2. You need to make some or adapt some drop links 3. Even with the adjustable TCA I've got. There is no facility to mount a drop link to the arm or shock, so that will need fabing. It would appear Reyland weld a mount on to the outer part of the TCA. Like this.... Unfortunatley my 90amp mig isn't up to this so I'll probably get someone else to do it.

Yeah hopefully "doing things properly" will be this Sierras watch words lol! Check the lengths of the comp' struts when you get them.... mine were two bloody different lengths! Crickey! I'll check them next time I'm at the unit, I've heard mixed reviews on Compbrake stuff, the problem is getting hold of adjustable Sierra arms isn't like Nissan stuff where you've got several different suppliers to choose from!

The offer is there Excellent, thanks Bruce I'll bring them with me ;D Right boring stuff first, when I picked the car up the oil was quite a bit over maximum and on the drive back I could smell a faint coolent smell (might be my imagination TBH), but anyway knowing the form that twinks have for headgasket woes I thought the worst and imagined a sump full of coolant. Thankfully this wasn't the case and it was just over full. However the sump nut was a bit of a nightmare, it was pretty tight and had obviously not been replace recently, so was pretty munched up. Nissan wheel nut and MIG welder to the rescue! Spot the difference...... Now on to the fun part ;D Annoyingly due to my mates having an addiction to cheap S13's (there are 4 of the bloody things at the unti!) I can't get the Sierra out to take better photos. Still I'm really happy with the fitment, just needs lows and a bit of arch rolling and camber to sort!

Looks promising! Design suits the car.
What are you're planning with the arches? Or will it have more camber?

What are you're planning with the arches? Or will it have more camber? I plan just to roll the arches a little, Sierra gain loads of camber at the rear when lowered, and the adjustable TCA's and eccentric top mounts should allow me to dial in enough camber on the front to get them to tuck in without having to flare the arches (well that's the plan). Plus generally for drifting you'll want to run a bit more camber up front than a usual road or track setup.

Not at the moment, pretty happy with the performance. Power wise it feels much stronger than the last twink and V6 I had! Just want to get the handling spot on. Not until the suspension is on Which hopefully won't be long as these have just turned up ;D Also thanks to Copey's for his info on the Scorpio rear ARB. Unless you've got a V6 or Cosworth model rear anti roll bar wasn't an option, but is a relatively easy fit. The Scorpio one looks to be the thickest bar and has the added advantage of being cheap as it doesn't incure Cosworth tax I found one on eBay for a bargain £16 delivered, so that's on it's way too. Not sure if I'm going to have enough time before Christmas to fit everything.

Went to A52 this weekend with my adjustable TCA's, as Bruce had kindly offered the use of the awesomely powerful Porta Mig to weld on a drop link mount. After a quick shuffle around in the nuts draw I found two deep M10 nuts with inbuilt washers which fitted the bill. Ian aka BIAS later informed me they are VW transported seat mount bolts. I attacked the TCA with a flap disc to provide a nice clean surface to weld to and offered up the nut. Bruce then did the honors and welded them on. Thanks to Bruce for his help
