LHD
thats the basics, lets get on with the rest. I got it, resto'd it here- retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=37494
its got a years ticket, had new front brake flexi's and exhaust mounts for a pass. even the CO's were passable but not tested as its a two stroke and emmisions exempt
the 993cc two stroke runs well, it had a crank rebuild by Chris Applebee engineering about 500miles ago. the fan shaft has noisy bearings, a new shaft is a tenner and two bearings are less than a tenner, but it never really bothered me.
It is finished in a very 70's avacado green, its not the best finish but it is one colour cos it never was before! no rot on the chgassis at all.
the engine is almost standard, its been fitted with an electric fan, kenlowe thermo switch and ignitech ignition thats 2d+3d and mappable. it really is amazing, was about £200 to get fully sorted, its easy to use and very top end, has fuel pump outs, relay outs, full throttle gearshift, TPS input and other stuff www.ignitech.cz/english/tcip/tcip.htm.
running on a rally car base map, its very happy at 70mph cruising and more economical and more powerful than ever. was dyno'd as standard at 51bhp and 75ft/lb torque at frost motorsport. can do 37mpg on a run (not including oil), town driving hurts more, averages about 30ish-32ish mpg combined. It has a four speed manual box with overdrive fourth, has a rose jointed custom collumn shift mechanism.
had new pads a few thousand ago, four pot calipers on the front, rears are abit odd as its got early shoes with late cylinders that make for too powerful brakes, tamed with a jls motorsport bias valve.
custom wheel pcd adapters suplied by the amazing gotwood making it 4x100, currently running renault espace rims- original 4x160 pcd rims available.
lowrered approx 4.5" with shortened BMW e39 rear springs up front and stock length BMW 2002 rear coils in back.
interiuor is sunbleached and drivers backrest is pretty torn, its a common problem with these cars unfortunatly e30 BMW front reel belts fitted.
Had recent new clutch. laminated screen. surprisingly parts are very easy to get, three days from germany fron trabiteile, ldmtuning and reichtuning. glass available from autoglass.
its a pre mix two stroke so you need to add oil every time you fill up, 40:1 mix, so 1 litre every full tank.
Top flite of the old skool pioneer cassette head unit.
random brit multi gauge fitted as the old one fritzed and I like it. temp and oil (petrol gauge) work.
MR2 sw20 headlamps for better night driving.
chrome is a bit grotty now as is the paint as she came off the road in winter and never got cleaned up properly
no front valence, its a bit bent. ask catherine tate....
£1200 ovno buys it, located colchester. currrently on SORN, needs tax to be driven away. Call me on 0 7 7 4 9 7 4 2 0 3 0 or email edd_weeks<at>hotmail<dot>com.
sorry for the library pics, I have some fresh ones but having technical troubles.....
