Having to sell a couple of my cars due to lack of space. I only got this a few weeks ago. VERY clean 1 owner car. Genuine 46000 miles. Bought from a little old lady whos husband bought it new. He passed away last year and as she doesnt drive that much decided to sell. Flew through the mot last week with no advisories. Only taxed til the end of april. Like new inside apart from a small bit on passenger seat that has come unstitched (not ripped). Very clean engine bay and engine. Excellent bodywork with a couple of small blemishes and old man touch up areas! Recent new tyres and exhaust. Parcel shelf intact. Tool kit in boot all there although the jack is missing. Spare wheel and tyre like new. Couple of small issues. Firstly clutch feels a bit sticky when used in city traffic for any length of time. Pretty sure cable just needs lubing/ replacing. Secondly radiator fan needs a new relay. When in city traffic the fan cuts in and out rather than staying on. As soon as you are moving again its fine. Ive been using it since I got it and havnt had any problems. Probably forgot stuff so any questions please ask. Car is in norwich, norfolk, close to the A11.

Looks supa tidy! I reckon your inlaws should build their conservatory round it then they will be able to sit and admire it in all weathers.

Obligatory 'IZ DIS RWD MATE'? Do you have pics of the engine bay, and also engine size.

Right, sale on hold as ive just had a letter from the dvla saying the mazda needs to have a vic test as the car was registered as damaged by the insurance company!! Annoying as the people i bought it from told me it had never had any accident damage, it also said that in the for sale ad! I'm hoping it was just minor damage. Trying to get in touch with the previous owners to see what they say, but they not answering their phone. Will post as soon as i know anything.

Just spoke the son of the 91 year old lady i got the car from. He swears the car has never been in an accident or had any insurance claims on it, and if i don't have any luck finding out why the dvla want a vic test hes willing to contact them and the insurance company to find out whats going on. I'll pop into the dvla office on the way to work and see if they can tell me anything.

Have you not had a V5 with your details since buying it?
Any decent HPI type check should be able to tell you if its been a Cat C but remember insurance write off categories are based on the market value and cost of repairs with genuine parts.
For example, a £500 Micra needing a set of locks could be classed as a Cat C wheras a 60 plate Micra needing airbags and chassis leg straightening could be considered a Cat D.
I would sell it as it is. If you tell people the situation before they see it I think they will appreciate your honesty and save yourself the £60 VIC fee!

Dvla say its now registered to me but wont release the v5 till its had the vic test. Went in to the local office before work, they checked and found that it was subject to a cat c claim in 2008. Now have to get in touch with the previous owners and get them to get the details from their insurance. Ive been round the car and there is a difference in the shade of gold on n/s rear quarter. Obviously don't mind selling how it is as long as new owner is aware it needs a vic test. Sooooo, open to offers bearing in mind a vic test is £41. Ive got a couple of weeks before i lose my space, so hopefully all sorted by then.
