Looks about the right price compared to others for sale on ebay/autotrader ect. If I was hunting for a new daily at the mo, i would have been in touch already its worth pointing out that is has the 16v (150? BHP) engine in it (same as the 318is coupes) and prob put it up on some of the drift sites. only real eay to find out if its over priced is a 99p start, no reserve. With all the pic's and details you've posted you should get a good price for it

Compacts unfortunatly just do not fetch money neither do any e36's bang for buck they are good motors.

Thanks guys, thing is if I drop it near to £600 I might as well break it as it will fetch at least that much in bits.

Thanks mate, windows are all good as I had to replace the drivers side lol. Theres exhaust, K&N, steering wheel, rear bumper, interior is mint with no holes so should fetch decent money, engine & gearbox, front & rear brakes then weigh the shell in.
But it has such a complete history with it that would be last resort.
Just adjusted the price on the advert to £850, was shocked to see someone asking £2700 for an identical one on ebay lol.
If I did break it, I'm tempted with sticking the engine in the hilux lol.

The trouble with eBay is it's mostly rubbish for prices. A car one day might make a grand and the next week only £600. Checking listings that have ended (as suggested above) is a great idea but don't forget anything in red type didnt find a buyer and a few of the green font ones are re-lists. Also the amount of private listings and schill bidding seems to be increasing at the moment.
Personally I'd suggest a reserve of about £560 and once it's met (if it's met) it should encourage further bidding if people think they can score a bargain.

HBF you do have a point gives ruff idear tho if you put the inside up for sale i would leave it in the car untill its sold seen a few on there sell under £10 as people have made the mistake of removing it all then getting stuck with it shame your not close if you did brake it i would be intrested in some bits lol the back wipper unit sells off them to sume times (why mine has a coke lid stuck to the boot) there is also this page www.facebook.com/Bmwcompactcup on fb very helpfull might helop find a buyer

I find agreeing a time that suits you both is best but explain that after a certain time you have to go out. I never wait in for people now if I have something on. If they say they'll be there for 6.00pm and I haven't heard from or seen them by say 6.30pm I just go and do whatever it was I was going to do anyhow. If they haven't the manners to contact you it's their loss.
