Hi all, new around here so I thought post up some pics of my cars. This is my merc w124, she started life as a standard 300e auto, but I have been modifying her for the past 4 years. I have converted her from an auto to a getrag manual, changed the engine from a 3.0 12v to a 3.6 24v, fitted bigger brakes, fitted sportline suspension, a bodykit, and electric leather seats. Future plans may include forced induction.

Nice car dude and welcome.. nice to see m104 with a stick behind really brings out the best in the lump. . you running a funky diff or just stock ??

I've got a eaton m62 from one of my other projects that I thought of fitting to it, along with the charge cooler from a jag xjr6. I've also got a monstrous holset turbo from a cummins bus engine that I have been mocking up under the bonnet.

I love the car mate?? Getrag straight swap?? Looking to fit one to my w202 The getrag bolts up no problem, but you need the early single mass flywheel. The gearbox crossmember needed altering to fit, and the propshaft had to be swaped for a longer one.

So time for an update on this. I spent most of this weekend messing about under the car, changed the sump for one that dose'nt leak, and did some under sealing of the body. I should have taken the engine out to do the sump, wish I had too, what a ******* of a job that was! Also going to find time to fit the locking diff that I picked up this week.

These diffs are controled by a computer, that controls the hydraulic system to vary the amount of lockup from 35% to 100%. But the system only works below 19mph, which is no good to me so I am going to convert it to switch between full on and full off by a switch on the dash. The 3.6 conversion I will go into better detail on another day, but it basicly a 300-24 m104 engine, with the bottom end swapped to a c36 amg setup. It moves rather well.

What steering wheel is that carat? Hi mate, I think it made by kaimal and is realy ment for vw's, but it sort of looks period to the car.

Sadly I wont be at the gathering this year, toooooooo much to do here The asd system does indeed run off the power steering pump, but it is a special twin pump for that job. The car that I took it from had electrical issues with the asd control unit, so I left the relays in it. Just planning to use an on/off switch rather than make it progressive.
