Thanks for the motivation lads. If the weather is okay, I'll definitly have a go next week. (And post some pic's)
As for 944 prices, I think they are still going for bargain prices. I bought mine 10 years ago for £5000 and prices have steadly gone down from then in my view. (Yes show condition ones go for a lot more).
The time to buy a 944 is now, as I can see the prices rising like all old Porsches. When I think back some 20 odd years, I wish I had bought a Porsche 914 instead of the Scimitar SS1 that I did buy, as they were cheap as chips then, but are worth loads now.

I disagree, the price of an S2 may have been 5k 10 yrs ago, but 2 yrs ago there were many nice for 2k (some were £1200), now nice is 5k so they have risen. The 2 people i know who break them are having trouble finding cheap 944s to break now.

Where are these people who pay £5k+ ? As I said, I had not one call at the price I was advertising at ( on ebay, pistonheads, various classic publications online and in print...). Mine had forged wheels, 968 clubsport suspension, black leather etc! I wished I could keep it, however a back injury says otherwise!

How much did you have yours up for? I personaly wouldn't expect much more than £2500/£3000 for mine. (Once the engine is back in it of course).
It's a resession out there and people don't wanna run 3.0ltr Porsches when petrol prices are so high, so I can imagine that there aren't many buyers out there and the ones there are can afford to be picky.
As for breaking 944s, surely people only break crashed ones beyond repair? If not, that's a sad thing.

I agree! It was 4950, then 4500. I was responding to the idea that people would pay much more (which is what I had been led to believe). I would say from my recent experience they are worth 3 to 3.5 k Your car is beautiful, by the way. Van

Stunning, these Porsches are so under rated...is it a Turbo or an S2? (As I can see you have the Turbo alloys fitted).
