my feeling is that if you were next door i would give you £200 sight unseen.
if you really want it gone shove it on ebay with some good pics/description - you will definitely get significantly more than scrap money for it.

^^^ You're right Mel, though I fear this particular vehicle's condition is rather too complex for the ebay knuckleheads. I've had a little interest on here, I'll try that, then ebay, then scrap.

These look pretty good (for an American car) in standard form I reckon, and far more interesting than they do once they have had a set of CURSE WORD GRP Ferrari panels riveted on.

Yup, 2.5l "iron duke" (!) 4cyl, extremely silly engine. 85hp from 2.5 litres, 8 valve with pushrods, but OBDII computerised diagnostics. The thing actually drives very well, not soggy and no roll, but it does understeer a bit, due to the 60/40 weight distribution in favour of the rear. It weighs about 1100kg so it's no elise, but neither is it a dodge dayvan.
If it helps, I have a V8 fitting kit too.

I would have thought, with something like a Vauxhall 2.0 16v engine and box, one of these would make a pretty excellent little blaster, they look the part alright.

^^^ I'll stop bumping it when someone gets it out of my sight! I wish I had the time to sort it out but I have seven other cars in a 1000ft unit and I need to get a few of those out the door first.
The kit is a genuine V8 Archie one, which comes with VHS (!) instructions which must be seen to be believed. It opens with various V8 fieros launching out of a garage at full throttle, then there is a badly-edited but amazingly informative walkthrough of the conversion. 1 quote: "here's a customer car with a 3.8 V6 with a turbo added. This is a girl motor. We're gonna pull this POS out and fit a REAL motor" etc, etc.

A difficult thing to value, a new kit is around £1600 by the time you get it here. This isn't a complete kit, but has engine mounts, bellhousing adaptor, high torque mini starter etc. I'd want something close £300 because it'd sell quite easily if I posted it to the US.

So do I mate! My dad's P5B has lunched its timing chain, so I want that on the drive so I can work on it. Every time I try to get rid of it I get a flurry of early interest, then nothing.

Right, does anyone want it for free? You can have it for nothing if you promise not to scrap it. If I had the heart to kill it, I'd have done that myself by now. I'll take the hit in order to avoid the hassle of breaking it and transporting the carcass.
