After a bit of collective knowledge here,
I'm after a piece of 2 1/8" Mild Steel exhaust tube 1500mm long but with a 45 degree bend at approx 1200mm
there is no where local i can find that can do this for me!
any ideas of a web based place that could help and ship?
ive found 1 place so far but thats coming in at about 75 notes
was hoping to keep it under 50

Custom Chrome in Nuneaton should be able to sort you out mate. When I made my side exit I had some thing like 3 meters of 3" mild steel and a 90 degree bend and I think that came to about £50-60. Not sure what they are like for shipping though but they have a website which should tell you every thing you need to know

Why not try an exhaust supplier. Not a fitting place but the motor factors where the exhaust trade get their parts.
A polite request might allow you to look at the stock.
Another thought is BOSAL or similar on line application guide to see if there is a pipe with bend "on the shelf" intended for some car or other that can be adapted / modified / cut down etc ?

I use SES, Southern exhaust supplies (my local trade exhaust retailer), they carry welding bends and straight in stock, Best place to start for mild! They are quite cheap too.  |

Went to SES and this branch don't stock 45 degree bends only 90, got 2m of pipe for 14 quid thou so well happy, tried custom chrome and they are supplying me a bend in 2" with a sleeve to fit the 2 1/8" pipe for 18 quid so in in well pleased!

Why not get a 90 degree bend and use half of it to make a 45 degree one?
